BEIJING, April 14 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping's special envoy Shao Hong will attend the inauguration of President of the Republic of the Congo Denis Sassou-N'Guesso in Brazzaville on April 16, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson announced on Tuesday.
Shao, also vice chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, will attend the inauguration at the invitation of President Sassou-N'Guesso, the spokesperson said.
Sassou-N'Guesso was re-elected president in mid-March, and President Xi sent a congratulatory message to him on his re-election as president of the Republic of the Congo on March 30.
